The Sustainable Farming and our Land consultation sets out how Welsh Government proposes to support farmers post-Brexit by replacing the Basic Payment Scheme (BPS) and Glastir with the Sustainable Farming Scheme, made up of two elements.
We only have until the 30th October 2019 to contribute to Welsh Government's Sustainable Farming and our Land consultation. NFU Cymru will be submitting a response on behalf of our membership, but it is really important you have your say NOW to add strength to our response.
This consultation presents revised proposals to those presented in last year’s Brexit and our Land consultation. Last year you helped ensure that the voice of Welsh farming was heard loud and clear and Welsh Government have now come forward with a revised consultation. It's vital that we once again get the message across that high quality food production is at the heart of everything we do and is a crucial part of Wales' post-Brexit future.
NFU Cymru is carrying out a comprehensive member engagement programme throughout the consultation period, but we need you to respond to this consultation to add weight to our vision.
