DEFRA confirmed a case of H5N8 in Lincolnshire and six days later Welsh Government confirmed a wild wigeon had been found in Carmarthernshire carrying the same strain of AI. Certificate of Competence

The NFU organised a series of slaughter courses for poultry producers so that they could be assessed with the view to obtaining a certificate of competence. The courses were well attended and everybody was successful in gaining their slaughter license. There are still options available for producers who wish to obtain a slaughter license. Read more ...
